Unter den Moto3-Piloten hatte Jack Miller aus dem Team Red Bull KTM Ajo am ersten Jerez-Testtag die Nase vorne. Er liess Isaac Viñales aus dem Calvo-Team um erstaunliche 0,302 sec hinter sich.
Die beste Honda mit dem Basken Efren Vazquez (Saxoprint Racing Team Germany) büsste 0,870 sec auf die Bestzeit ein.
Alex Márquez aus dem Honda-Team Estrella Galicia 0,0 kam über Rang 10 nicht hinaus.

Da Honda-Pilot Alex Rins am Montag in Barcelona eine Zyste aus dem rechten Handgelenk entfernt werden musste, wird er beim Jerez-Test von CEV-Champion Fabio Quartararo ersetzt. Der 14jährige Wunderknabe brillierte mitten in der Weltspitze mit der elftbesten Zeit. Er darf aber erst im April 2015 in das WM-Geschehen eingreifen – nach seinem 16. Geburtstag.
